Psychiatrist - Backup Collaborator for PA

Aloha, I am a board-certified psychiatrist and passionate about holistic, community-based care.

I was previously a medical director at a VA psychosocial rehabilitation and recovery center and loved that providers of many different specialties came together to help the patients.

During this position I worked closely with nurse practitioners, psychologists, social workers, physician assistants, and many types of therapists on a daily basis.

How we work

An integrated approach, not a fragmented one

Most practices handle either medication or therapy and then send you somewhere else for the other half. We do not. The Place for Recovery brings psychiatric medication management and psychotherapy together in one place, so your care is coordinated, consistent, and complete.

We also offer onsite wellness and medical services, including weight management, primary care, and laboratory testing with Clipath Medical Laboratory. DNA Med Match and neurotransmitter testing help us personalize care even further.

  • Comprehensive psychiatric evaluation at your first visit
  • Medication and therapy, or either, depending on what you need
  • Treatment plans reviewed and adjusted as you progress
  • Children, teens, adults, and families are all welcome

Inside the practice

Spaces designed to feel calm and supportive

Quiet, welcoming environments that make it easier to focus on healing.

Community and Outreach

Beyond appointments, we stay engaged in mental health advocacy

The Place for Recovery supports local awareness efforts and partnerships that reduce stigma around mental health and substance use disorders. We collaborate with healthcare providers, schools, and community organizations to improve referral access and continuity of care.

The Place for Recovery fosters a holistic approach to healing. Veterans are provided with a safe and welcoming environment where they can connect with others who share similar experiences, facilitating a sense of community and understanding. By addressing not only the physical and emotional scars of service but also the social and economic factors that impact well-being, The Place for Recovery empowers veterans to reclaim their lives and thrive in their post-military endeavors. Through a commitment to dignity, respect, and comprehensive support, this initiative plays a vital role in fostering resilience and reintegration for Pennsylvania's veterans, helping them to build a brighter future.

Our long-term goal is simple: more people getting care early, receiving treatment that works, and staying connected to support systems that promote recovery.
